The following family records were copied from my grandfather’s (Walter Malloy) Bible, which belonged to his mother (Mary Garvin Malloy).

This Bible was translated from the Latin Vulgate and published by John Kelly and Son of Philadelphia.  The date of the copyright is 1875.

It contains 16 pages of “History of the Holy Scriptures”, 35 pages of scenes of “Geography of Bible Lands”, 5 pages of “Portraits of Supreme Pontiffs from the years 1644 – 1875”,  A Catholic Dictionary of the Holy Bible, and a Table of References.  A family records are recorded between the Old and the New Testaments and in the back are pages for family portraits.

The wise man must remember that while he is a descendant of the past, he is a parent of the future; and that his thoughts are as children born to him, which me may not carelessly let die.
